Here are some more paintings of interiors at the Art Students League of New York
This is a view of the prop closet in studio seven, up on the fourth floor of the league.
Presiding over everything is the Donatello David.
In the back of the studio were painting racks and lockers and every so often an intrepid artist that would defiantly stake claim to a spot in the dim light and wrest a masterpiece out of thin air.
There was a time when the light on the third and fourth floors of the League was glorious almost spiritual.
